ADDING RECEIVER

I have a surround system with dvd/receiver. 1 "AUX" and 2 compoment jacks. I want to intergrate with Onkyo receiver in irder to add more speakers. Can this be done and if so how?

Hi, I just joined this site and saw your post. To answer your question, I have a similar setup. I have a Yamaha HT 7.1 receiver that has 2 Pre outs for power amps. I have 2 yamaha powers amps running my front and rear speakers with the receiver acting as the pre amp. That is the best and safest way to accomplish your goal. Hope that helped.
